March 1, 2008
Happy Easter to each of you. May
we all be humbled as we remember the suffering and crucifixion
of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. May we all be blessed and rejoice
as we celebrate His glorious resurrection. Have a wonderful
Easter!
“Thus it is written, and thus it
behoved Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third
day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be
preached in his name among all nations…” Luke 24:46-47

THOMPSON
CHURCH
Bro. Kim Lowe, Pastor
Greetings from Thompson. We have
enjoyed a very good start to 2008. We have several new families
that have been attending church for which we are truly thankful.
We are very glad to have several young couples who have been
attending with us and pray that God continues to bless our
church.
We have had some very good preaching by
Brothers L.C. Hollingsworth, Roger Frazee and Paul Frazee over
the past few weeks and have had some very inspiring services.
We voted to have "The Southern Harmony
Quartet" to be our guest singers at homecoming on Sunday, May
6th. We will elect our evangelist for the Spring Revival at next
month’s conference.
We have several members and friends in
the community who are on our prayer list and ask our brothers
and sisters to help us pray for the following people: Jason
Duke, David Webb, James Hedge, Patrick Anthony, Cordell Rogers,
Polly McEwen, Monroe Sarratt, and family of J.W. Horton.

GALILEE CHURCH
Bro. Jerry Hollingsworth,
Pastor Greetings from Galilee. We have been feeling the effects
of the bad weather and flu season on our attendance. But we
still feel the Lord blessing us. Sunday morning, Feb. 24th, one
young man was saved, Mark Rose. Then the young man who brought
him to church, David Bradford, joined Galilee. We are proud to
have him as a new member.
Please continue to remember Sis.
Christine Hollingsworth and her family in prayer. Sis.
Billy Morris will be having a growth removed from her
forehead this week. Please keep her in your prayers.
Remember Sis. Polly McEwen. It has been quite a while since
she was able to attend church. Just keep our church and
community in your prayers. God Bless!
SANDY POINT
CHURCH
Bro. Mike Melton, Pastor
We have had two church members to have
back surgery this month, Bro. O'Neal Melton and Bro. Leonard
Greer. Both are doing well at this time. Please continue to
pray for all the sick as there are many in our church families.
Spring is almost around the corner and
Easter services will be soon. Let's start preparing ourselves
for this wonderful occasion now.

PLEASANT VIEW CHURCH
Bro.
Wayne Gordon, Pastor
Greetings from Pleasant View! As many
of you know, Bro. Wayne was in the hospital at Western Baptist
in Paducah for a few days earlier this month. He is back home
now and doing well, and he is back in the pulpit. Praise the
Lord! We were so blessed to have Bro. Mark Hollingsworth fill
in for him for a couple of Sundays. It is always an honor to
have Bro. Mark and Sis. Crystal with us and we are grateful for
the sacrifices they made to come and share God's word with us.
Also, we and Bro. Wayne want to thank everyone for their prayers
during his illness.
Please remember these sisters in your
prayers: Sis. Irene Yates, Sis. Frances Cole, Sis. Carolyn
Rose, and Sis. Maxine Williams. The flu & other viruses seem to
be in full force this winter, let us all remember to pray for
those affected by these.
We also want to thank Sis. Gail Gargus
for the fantastic job she does with the newsletter. We
appreciate her efforts and look forward to it every month.
May God bless you
all!

As you read the following
Scripture, notice the 20 underlined words. Then find those
words in the word search puzzle below. Hope you enjoy it!
And when they were come to the
place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him,
and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other
on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive
them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his
raiment, and cast lots.
And when Jesus had cried with a
loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my
spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
Now upon the first day of the
week, very early in the morning, they came unto the
sepulcher, bringing the spices which they had prepared,
and certain others with them. And they found the stone
rolled away from the sepulcher. And they entered in, and found
not the body of the Lord Jesus. And it came to pass, as
they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by
them in shining garments: And as they were afraid,
and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto
them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not
here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when
he was yet in Galilee,
Saying, The Son of man must be
delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified,
and the third day rise again. And they remembered his
words. Luke
